Mbarara city authorities say they will investigate the collapse of a seven-year-old building on Major Victor Bwana street last night. The three-storey building which is said to belong to a UPDF soldier developed cracks a few days ago and Police cordoned off the area to prevent any accidents. Mbarara City Clerk John Behangana says they will look at the materials which were used and if there were any technical issues that were ignored during construction. The site was formerly used as a garbage dump.
